Why I'm eating raisins

Ack. Giant tin of Almond Roca is all gone.

Have gained 3.2 pounds since Roca entered the house. Is not only reason for weight gain, but just symbol representing many bad but delicious choices I have made this holiday season. My favorite jeans are very tight, and so I was forced to wear alternate, larger jeans, with rhinestones on pockets, to party on Saturday night.

And now that Roca is gone, am now forced to eat raisins.

Is sad state of affairs.

Maybe will make cinnamon rolls (not with the raisins. Ick.) and hot chocolate, to avoid bah-humbugs produced by raisin-eating.

Rhinestone jeans really are quite festive, anyhow.

Right?

I think you are making the best of a rocky situation. I love your style!

I say, use the raisins to make mince pies! Extra Xmas yumminess!

Maybe you could dip those raisins in chocolate?
Here's to festivity!

I think that rhinestones jeans are totally the modern version of the holiday sweater. :) And by the way, maybe this happened a while back and I haven't noticed from google reader, but your new photo is just lovely.

I second Heather's motion. Chocolate raisins are positively divine.

I'm so glad you don't like raisins in your cinnamon rolls. Such a relief.

I get a little mad at people at Christmas party whose jeans don't have rhinstones on them.

As long as there aren't so many rhinestones on your jeans that you do indeed resemble the Rhinestone Cowboy of which we're all so familiar with.

Raisins really are the poor man's version of tasty treats. They should be banned.

oh, Kelly, you are calling for desperate measures! Yuck raisins, we had this conversation the other day. If you gotta eat them, I agree dip them in chocolate!
Glad the Roca is gone.
I am sure you looked great in your rhinstone jeans!

About my sister's keeper: This was the most depressing one for me. In the middle I literally put the book down and ran to children, gave them a hug and wrote in the journals all the things they're doing now.

I really enjoyed Second Glance (eugenics project of early 1900s in Vermont) and Harvesting the Heart (lots about mothers and daughters). Plain Truth and Keeping Faith are also faves.

MMMM - roca is my favorite! Forget the raisins go for Jo Jo's from Trader Jo's. That is yum!

Almond roca, one of my favorites, and rhinestone jeans, well they can make anyone look good!

Raisins are not allowed in cinnamon rolls. Only walnuts!

Don't they sell roca at your local store? Go buy some more and enjoy the holidays! Get rid of the raisins or use them as punishments for your kids.

My issue, at the moment, is mint chocolate lindor truffles. I can't stop eating them and I'm not usually a sweets person.

Perhaps if the rhinestones are green and red? Then yes, quite festive.

And also-I should NOT Have read Alyson's comment because until then I did not know mint lindor chocolates existed.

And also again, bless you for your comment on my blog. Rotten do-gooders---stealing my awards.:)
